The Du-Rites live in-store at The Shop, NYC

Special thanks to Sucio Smash and The Shop, NYC in Ridgewood, Queens for hosting The Du-Rites for an in-store performance in January. And thanks to everyone who came through to support us and picked up a record. Here’s a clip of us performing “The Bronx Is Burning” from our 2017 Greasy Listening album. With the numerous reinventions I’ve gone through since the late ‘90s - hip-hop producer/artist; to DJ/writer/author and eventually, drummer - trying to cram it all on one website was a mess. My pivot to drumming in 2011 was entirely unplanned and my prior website was designed to promote a book. Finding more focus and abandoning being a jack-of-a-zillion trades over the last decade, I decided to repurpose my site as HQ for my work and path as a drummer... and start going by my actual name. Big steps. Ha! Thanks for tuning in.
